The Pool

Sometimes you are alone,  even when you aren't actually.  You may have family and friendsaand social media,  but sometimes it just be like that. Last week the pool opened in complex where I live. It was like 90 degrees at least. My son jumped in and I really wanted to do the same. Because it was my first time in this particular pool I felt like I had to scope out the place.  A few of my neighbors are disabled also so I wondered if they got in also, but 'lo and behold I saw one pull up in her wheelchair.
I sat back with amazement. There were two life guards who picked her up and placed oh so gentle in a chair in pool. "Yippee" I wanted to yell!
I wanted to scoot my butt upstairs and change. LOL.

So I figured what I will do is that when I want to swim I will either scoot to edge and have one of them walk me along edge. I'm actually excited.  My Pisces soul was telling me to stop trying to clip her fins.
I know my son will be excited for me. Its going to be likr water therapy.

Boom...Guess who stepped in the room

It's me...
As I think of excuses, I can't really think of any bc its my own fault.  I spoke to a dear friend of mine who said I should start a blog...Duh. oh I have one I've been lazy at.
I go online and be on all sort of blogs -from entertainment, tv and even other MD blogs and I have to get back on mine.
Got a better phone -shout out to Galaxy 3.
Moved to Md-deuces to Garden State.
So every day when I go on phone, to go on Bible app, The Secret Daily Teachings...I'm going to update blog.  It will just have to be my diary.

Accessible Skiing!

I never really thought about it...well thnnm, sking of course. I used o ski when I was younger, in my early teens, befire I discovered boys. After watching PUSH GIRLS on the Sundance Channel, it made me realize that I can continue to try to ski.
So apparently you sit in a chair lower to the ground to do it and there is volunteers that go down the hill with you. So check it out!

*I meant disabled and out of work*
You can tell I am tired...fatigue is an angry old lady, SMH & LOL
Some days are obviously more exciting.
Exciting for me this summer included finding out that NJ Medicaid does not cover me, even though I am unemployed and out of work. I do collect unemployment which is apparently over the $978 monthly income limit.
The supervisor, although empathized with me, could do nothing. So I scooted out the office - deflated but not defeated.
I contacted the medicine's manufacturer and explained the situation and they sent paperwork to me, so that I can get medicine at a discount or maybe even free.
*fingers crossed*

Push Girls
http://www.sundancechannel.com/push-girls/

This is perhaps my absolute FAVE show on TV today. It is a show on The Sundance Channel, which follow a group of women who are in wheelchairs.
Their smiles and friendship among each other is contagious. Just a few weeks ago, they showed how it was to go skiing with assisted skiing and I was thoroughly impressed. I went skiing as a teen a few times and I liked it a lot.
The show was picked up for a second season, I am so happy and can't wait for it to  begin.

Nothing Even Matters

I used to love this song, I used to think that nothing would matter. But I guess the MS did. Ahem, not trying to start a sad post. It just reminds me that love is out there, somewhere. I walked/scoot the MS Walk in Jersey City, it was a beautiful day. Filled with family, friends and strangers which made the day lovely. Every year for the walk, I enjoy myself even more - it is my annual prom.
