Accessible Skiing!

I never really thought about it...well thnnm, sking of course. I used o ski when I was younger, in my early teens, befire I discovered boys. After watching PUSH GIRLS on the Sundance Channel, it made me realize that I can continue to try to ski.
So apparently you sit in a chair lower to the ground to do it and there is volunteers that go down the hill with you. So check it out!

*I meant disabled and out of work*
You can tell I am tired...fatigue is an angry old lady, SMH & LOL
Some days are obviously more exciting.
Exciting for me this summer included finding out that NJ Medicaid does not cover me, even though I am unemployed and out of work. I do collect unemployment which is apparently over the $978 monthly income limit.
The supervisor, although empathized with me, could do nothing. So I scooted out the office - deflated but not defeated.
I contacted the medicine's manufacturer and explained the situation and they sent paperwork to me, so that I can get medicine at a discount or maybe even free.
*fingers crossed*

Push Girls

This is perhaps my absolute FAVE show on TV today. It is a show on The Sundance Channel, which follow a group of women who are in wheelchairs.
Their smiles and friendship among each other is contagious. Just a few weeks ago, they showed how it was to go skiing with assisted skiing and I was thoroughly impressed. I went skiing as a teen a few times and I liked it a lot.
The show was picked up for a second season, I am so happy and can't wait for it to  begin.

Nothing Even Matters

I used to love this song, I used to think that nothing would matter. But I guess the MS did. Ahem, not trying to start a sad post. It just reminds me that love is out there, somewhere. I walked/scoot the MS Walk in Jersey City, it was a beautiful day. Filled with family, friends and strangers which made the day lovely. Every year for the walk, I enjoy myself even more - it is my annual prom.

New Oral Therapy BG 12

After seeing positive results for BG-12 (dimethyl fumarate) from several clinical trials involving people with relapsing-remitting MS, Biogen Idec submitted a New Drug Application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approval to market their new oral MS disease-modifying therapy.

I am obsessed with...Pinterest

*Pauly D's voice* Ohhh yeah Pinterest yeah...

Thanks to Laini...I am now obsessed, I pin everything...I like everything. It has basically got me sprung.
I came across this pin and thought it was so interesting. It was about using essential oils for massages.
I want to try to get a massage bc I've only received a massage from a "professional" twice...we would leave out that I've gotten massages before...

It is what it is

So Ive ignored the blog. As normal.
I am home  now bc I lost my job, so there is no reason, why I shouldn't post more.
Ok...what has happened since the last posting?
I am back on the road with the peddlemaster. I absolutely love it, I don't know what I could have done without them. I do find the screw loosen up a big, but nothing that can't be fixed.
Since I am w/o a job, I am also w/o health insurance, which I am trying to get now via the state.
I reached out to MSLifelines who is part of my cuirrent Rebif therapy to see if I can get the drug at a discount. I've sent out the paperwork, so let's keep our fingers crossed. I've been w/o the Rebif for like 6 or 7 weeks and honestly I feel good.
Ive been doing green smoothies EVERY morning faithfully for energy. I know there is something out there to help me besides the expensive ass drugs, which btw has made me hurt  more than now.
I will post the recipes that I did.
